Recently the Orlando chapter of US Lacrosse held its annual
year-end awards meeting. The Central
Florida chapter coaches, which includes the entirety of Central Florida public and private schools, met to nominate and vote on award recipients. Amongst the accolades being decided on were
the three Academic All-American awards allotted by US Lacrosse. The US Lacrosse Academic All-American award
recognizes the best players on the field and in the classroom.
Proudly, two of the three Academic All-Americans this year
are our very own Warriors: Nick
Poidomani and Logan Dyer. This also
marks the first time that two Academic All-Americans were named from the same
school in Florida. Logan and Nick join
Class of 2007’s Brett Schlosser as the only Academic All-Americans in school
history.
On behalf of the coaching staff, school administration and
teachers at West Orange High School we couldn’t be prouder of Nick and Logan
for their outstanding commitment to excellence in the classroom and on the
field. Both young men are examples of
the great work put forth by the teachers and staff at West Orange High
School.
