Class of 2014’s Grant Malquist finished his career at WO as
the greatest face-off specialist and groundball man in school history. He was so prolific at the face-off X, that
Malquist’s career mark for wins (519) placed him 280 ahead of second place in
the record books. Malquist’s GB record
neared 300 for his career, a mark that put him comfortably in the lead in that
category, as well. However, Malquist
would be the first to tell you that if anyone was to beat his F/O and GB records,
it would be the freshman who played alongside him during his final season: Zach Malaussena. What Malquist probably wouldn't have known
last year was how quickly some of his records would fall to the now
sophomore.
