Tonight’s
match-up against Dr. Phillips will take on an importance that goes beyond the
lacrosse field as the Warriors celebrate Yellow
Brick Road – The Holden Flynn Foundation for the second-straight year. “Yellow
Brick Road Night” will be an evening in which the Warrior Lacrosse Family hopes
to help promote the foundation’s wonderful work and join in spreading awareness
of congenital heart defects, the world’s most common and deadly birth defect.
YBRF works
within the local community to increase the exposure and awareness of congenital
heart defects, while providing assistance and support to families of
hospitalized children with CHDs.
Additionally,
the foundation raises money for the manufacturing and purchasing of
hospital-appropriate wagons which are distributed to the local pediatric
hospitals in Central Florida to provide young patients those enjoyable moments
outside their hospital rooms that are so necessary in keeping a child’s spirits
up.
There will be a
presentation tonight on the field at 7pm prior to the varsity game by the West
Orange players to YBRF, presenting them with a donation to help the foundation’s
cause.
Please join us
tonight as we celebrate a wonderful local charity that is doing wonders within
our many local pediatric hospitals. There will be giveaways at the gate while
supplies last and students will be entered to win prizes throughout the
evening.
