Metro Conference CHAMPS!

Mikey Berkman sets new school record with 111 points in a season!
The Warriors secured its third West Metro Conference title in school history, first since 2013, with their 16-6 victory at district rival Apopka on Wednesday night. The win also earned the Warriors the No. 1 seed in the district tournament for the sixth-straight season.

Warriors Break DP Drought in 16-7 Victory


When the Class of 2017 arrived at West Orange for the 2014 season, they joined a program that had never lost to the Dr. Phillips Panthers. That year the Panthers changed the narrative and reeled off five consecutive wins against the Warriors over the next three seasons, including two one-goal victories in the state playoffs. Not wanting to face the ignominious fate of being the only class of Warriors to never defeat DP, the seniors rose to the occasion Friday night, spurring their squad to a 16-7 victory over the Panthers.

Warriors Host the Yellow Brick Road Foundation Tonight!


Tonight’s match-up against Dr. Phillips will take on an importance that goes beyond the lacrosse field as the Warriors celebrate Yellow Brick Road – The Holden Flynn Foundation for the second-straight year. “Yellow Brick Road Night” will be an evening in which the Warrior Lacrosse Family hopes to help promote the foundation’s wonderful work and join in spreading awareness of congenital heart defects, the world’s most common and deadly birth defect.

Berkman Sets Assist Record in Victory over the Hawks

Wednesday night brought district opponent Lake Minneola to the Warriors’ home turf. The Hawks sported a 7-1 record entering the evening and posed a viable threat to West Orange’s undefeated season. However, the Warriors came out focused and determined from the start and rocked the Hawks to the tune of a 26-4 victory.

Warriors Ranked No. 1 in Sentinel Super Six!

The Orlando Sentinel released a story on the Warriors season thus far, as well as revealed West Orange as their No. 1-ranked team in their Super Six rankings.

This is the first time in school history the Warriors have been ranked No. 1 in the Super Six.

Undefeated Warriors Host 7-1 Hawks Wednesday Night.

The West Orange Warriors lacrosse team may have been more aptly referred as the “Road Warriors” at the beginning of this season with their first seven games of the year on the road. In fact, the Warriors amassed 501.6 miles on the road, roughly the equivalent of a trip from Winter Garden to New Orleans.

Warriors Drop Previously Unbeaten Winter Park, 20-4

Last Friday night witnessed a match-up of the two remaining undefeated Orange County Public School programs. The West Orange Warriors out of the West Metro Conference and the Winter Park Wildcats out of the East Metro Conference both entered the match-up with identical 5-0 records. An explosive start in the first quarter by the Warriors quickly established which team would remain unblemished, as WO marched to a decisive 20-4 victory.
